Republican Congressman Paul Broun wants his constituents to see the healthcare bill the U.S. House passed last Saturday. He dropped off a copy of it at the Columbia County library. It’s more than 2,000 pages long. WJBF News Channel 6’s Paige Tucker has more.
Evans, GA—Congressman Paul Broun made a big delivery to the Columbia County Library Tuesday. He dropped off three big binders containing the Healthcare bill passed by the House Saturday. The bill is more than 2,000 pages, and the Congressman says there are two amendments missing from the print-outs.
Broun, a Republican, says he’s disappointed the House passed what he calls “Pelosi-care” and wants his constituents to read the bill for themselves. “I think this needs to be thrown in the trash can and we can work in a bipartisan way to find some common sense market solutions.“ Democrat Congressman John Barrow also voted ‘No’ on the healthcare bill.
If you’d like to see the healthcare bill in person, it’s downstairs at the Columbia County Library.
