Atlanta, GA—A convicted Harlem High School coach is being released from jail Friday.

In 2006, Melissa Chase was sentenced to ten years in prison, on a sexual assault charge. Chase was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student.

In June, the Georgia Supreme Court ruled that the age of consent should have been allowed as evidence along with the student’s testimony that she “wanted” the relationship.

The charges have since been dismissed.
