Tarver State Attorney Nomination Unanimously Approved By Senate Committee

President Barack Obama elected Augusta’s own Ed Tarver to become the next U.S. Attorney for the southern district of the Georgia. Thursday, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously approved the State Senator to the post.

Augusta, GA—President Barack Obama elected Augusta’s own Ed Tarver to become the next U.S. Attorney for the southern district of the Georgia.

Thursday, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously approved the Georgia State Senator to the post.

Tarver was nominated by President Barack Obama, last month.

If confirmed by the full Senate, there will be a special election to replace him in the Georgia Senate.
