Augusta, GA—It’s one of the biggest subdivisions in Hephzibah, and this week, someone decided to pay it a visit and take what did not belong to them.
Fred: “I’ve been here 23 years and we’ve never ha this problem and everybody around here knows everybody and we look out for each other property.“
This man wanted to talk about the recent car break-ins including what happened to his car. Because he’s a victim he but did want to be identified because of possible retaliation.
Fred: “I’m concerned about my family and my neighbors.”
We’ll call him Fred. Fred says just this week eleven cars were broken into causing close to $5,000 worth of damage. Windows were broken, CD’s stolen and even physical car damage was left behind.
Fred: “I just hope it doesn’t lead to home invasions house invasions or anything like that.“
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office reports there were several car break-ins this week. Fred says he’s been paying close attention to every detail outside.
Fred: “The last couple of nights I’ve been up back and forth checking the areas pretty much and hopefully everything is calmed down.“
Neighbors like Fred are trying to figure out who has been doing this but still they have no clues.
Fred: “I don’t feel like it was a random case because you looking at eleven vehicles on one particular night and I’m just hoping it doesn’t get any worse.“
