ATLANTA (AP) - Arguments have ended in a sentencing hearing for three former Atlanta police officers who each pleaded guilty to a federal conspiracy charge in the death of a 92-year-old woman during a botched drug raid.

A judge plans to sentence Jason R. Smith, Gregg Junnier and Arthur Tesler at noon Tuesday.

All three earlier pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to violate civil rights resulting in death. Kathryn Johnston was killed by police gunfire during the 2006 raid.

The U.S. attorney’s office has recommended that Smith serve about 12 and half years in federal prison and that Junnier and Tesler serve about 10 years. Prosecutors recommend that Smith and Junnier receive reduced sentences because they cooperated with authorities.
