Sandra McVicker Named Interim President/CEO Of MCG Health Inc.
Sandra I. McVicker, Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at MCG Health, Inc., has been named Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of MCG Health, Inc. effective immediately.
Augusta, Ga. - Sandra I. McVicker, Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at MCG Health, Inc., has been named Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of MCG Health, Inc. effective immediately.
McVicker succeeds Don Snell who resigned the post last week.
McVicker has served in progressively responsible positions at MCG Health, Inc. since joining the organization in 1997. She became Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer in 2004. Previous leadership positions included roles at Kennedy Memorial Hospital and University Medical Center, Stratford, New Jersey; Jeannes Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio.
The MCG Health Inc. Board Executive Committee will review this executive action at its Nov. 25, 2009, meeting in Augusta.
