Power Outage in Augusta

The lights are out in parts of Augusta and North Augusta Wednesday morning.

Augusta, GA -  The lights are out in parts of Augusta Wednesday morning.

A hugh tree fell on Wheeler Road at Wellesly Drive, taking utility lines with it. The road is also blocked. Crews are working to remove the tree.
Georgia power workers are trying to get the power back on in the affected neighborhood.

In North Augusta, a tree and some power lines are down on Bunting Drive at Wren Road.
Bunting road is closed in the Lynnhurst neighborhood.

Also, some localized flooding is reported this morning in low lying areas. Please drive carefully on your way to work or school.
