Authorities in Alpharetta say at least part of a parking deck at a medical facility has collapsed. Alpharetta police spokesman George Gordon said the collapse happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. He said there were no initial reports of injuries or fatalities.

Piece Of Concrete Breaks Off Georgia Parking Deck
ALPHARETTA, Ga. (AP) - A portion of a parking deck broke off and fell onto two cars below at a medical facility in Alpharetta.
Alpharetta police spokesman George Gordon says a 3-foot piece of concrete fell onto the cars on the third floor of the deck shortly before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. He said there were no reports of injuries.
The parking deck was located at 3400 Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta, which is about 26 miles north of Atlanta.
Last month a section of a 7-year-old parking garage in midtown Atlanta collapsed from the fourth floor to ground level. No one was injured or killed in that collapse, but about 40 cars were damaged.

Gordon was en route to the building at 3400 Old Milton Parkway and said he had very few details.
Two employees at offices in the building said it appeared that a small portion of the garage had collapsed.
Alpharetta is about 26 miles north of Atlanta.
