One Person Dies In Friday Night Accident On Mike Padgett Highway
According to Richmond County Chief Deputy Coroner Mark Bowen, Earl Clark, 53, died Friday night in an accident on Mike Padgett Highway.
Augusta, GA—According to Richmond County Chief Deputy Coroner Mark Bowen, Earl Clark, 53, died Friday night in an accident on Mike Padgett Highway.
Clark was the passenger of a vehicle( 1988 Toyota Camry) traveling North, on Mike Padgett Highway. The driver of the vehicle, Karen Lamberson, attempted to turn left onto Clark Road, and was struck by two vehicles (2001 Chevrolet Silverado and a International 4300 Box truck) traveling south bound.
The south bound vehicles struck the passenger side of the the Toyota Camry. Clark was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency workers on the scene. Clark was pronounced dead at the Medical College of Georgia at 12:34 a.m., Saturday morning.
An autopsy was done on Saturday morning at the GBI Atlanta Lab and the results were: Blunt Force Trauma as the cause of death. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
