Man Crushed While Working On Car In Augusta

Richmond County Fire Rescue crews were called to 3009 Deans Bridge Road, just before 5:00 p.m., Friday. A mechanic was working on a Cadillac at The Price is Right car sales, when the car fell off a jack, trapping him underneath.

Augusta, Ga - Richmond County Fire Rescue crews were called to 3009 Deans Bridge Road, just before 5:00 p.m., Friday.

A mechanic was working on a Cadillac at The Price is Right car sales, when the car fell off a jack, trapping him underneath.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, the man was taken to MCG with life-threatening injuries.

The name of the victim was not released. WJBF News Channel 6 has not been able to find an updated condition of the victim.

Unfortunate but avoidable accident. Most back yard mechanics have probably done this a time or two. We know better but we still need to be protected from ourselves.

It’s kinda like leaving your kids or pets in a car in the summer heat.

The DEMS have been trying to prtect us from ourselves for many years and it hasn’t worked yet!
