I-20 West Ramp To Bobby Jones Expressway To Be Temporarily Closed

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GADOT), the I-20 west ramp to Bobby Jones Expressway east and west will be closed on Thursday, October 8th and/or Friday, October 9th (weather permitting) from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. and/or 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

Augusta, GA—According to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GADOT), the I-20 west ramp to Bobby Jones Expressway east and west will be closed on Thursday, October 8th and/or Friday, October 9th (weather permitting) from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. and/or 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

Traffic will be detoured using Davis Road west, Scott Nixon west and Bobby Jones east/west. Richmond County law enforcement will be onsite. Traffic may be stopped for short intervals during these traffic operations.

This is a work zone and extreme caution is necessary. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds, pay attention to all work zone/advisory signs and seek alternate routes when possible. Message signs, barrels and cones will be utilized to alert the public of the upcoming changes.
