Impact Safety Systems was conducting a haz-mat training session at its facility on North Bel Air Road.
Thursday’s training focused around a simulated chlorine gas leak. The people taking part in these classes typically work around hazardous materials.
Joseph Foster, Impact Safety Systems: “The guys that are in our class actually come from a number of different chemical manufacturing facilities here in the Augusta, Georgia area. These guys, they come through, and we give them the training they would need if, in fact, they had a similar vessel leaking at their facility.“
Those training classes are open to everyone, and they are typically offered once a quarter.
