New construction at First Baptist Church of Augusta is giving the church some room to grow and bring jobs to the city. A groundbreaking ceremony for the construction project was held Sunday, after worship service.

Augusta, GA—New construction at First Baptist Church of Augusta is giving the church some room to grow and bring jobs to the city.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the construction project was held Sunday, after worship service.

A chapel and new fellowship hall will be built and they’re also adding on to the activities building. It’s a $10.1 million project.

The pastor, Dr. Greg DeLoach, says it will benefit the entire community.

The project is supposed to take 18 months to complete.
