Evans Grad, Kathryn McCormick Makes Top 12

Martinez, GA—It was all cheers and smiles at Kathryn McCormick’s house, Wednesday night. And for many, it was no surprise she made it through another round…one step closer to $250,000.

Sandra McCormick, Kathryn McCormick’s mother: “I’m really nervous on result day, yeah, I’m really nervous, and I’m sure she’s really nervous too.”

Only minutes away from the big announcement and it was clear nerves were setting in for the McCormick viewers.

April Henry, Kathryn’s best friend: “It was always her dream, she’d always be like, ‘April, come look at this show.‘  And we’d always watch it, and now she’s on it, so it’s crazy.“

Last week, Kathryn made her way through to the top 14.

Cat Deeley, ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ host: “What are you two doing here, you’re safe, too.”

Wednesday, she was fighting to keep her spot in the top 12.

Deeley: “We’ve gone from thousands to just 14 contestants in our search for America’s favorite dancer. Tonight, one more guy and one more girl will be leaving the competition.”

The McCormick fan club, anxiously waiting…

Cat Deeley, ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ host:  “After last nights vote, that couple is Molly and Nathan. Kathryn and Legacy congratulations well done.“

Logan McCormick, Kathryn’s brother: “I’m really happy she made it and I want her to do as good as she does, did last night.”

Sandra McCormick: “It just shows me that America got it right, this week. And, I’m so excited for her and I know that she is a wreck just like all of us were, but I’m so proud of her and so excited, for her. I’m just speechless.”
