Driver Lucky After Log Truck Accident

Brown’s truck came to rest in a wooded area just off the shoulder of Gordon Highway

Richmond County, Ga - A Columbia County man considers himself lucky after an accident in a logging truck Friday morning. James Brown of Grovetown was traveling east on Gordon Highway near Newmantown Road when the front, drivers side tire of the truck blew. According to the Richmond County Sheriffs Office the accident happened just after 11 AM. Brown was able to control the Mack truck just enough to avoid oncoming traffic, but did crash into a wooded area just off the shoulder of the highway. He was unharmed in the wreck and no charges were filed.
