Augusta, GA—From Wall Street To Your Wallet…another 3,800 CSRA workers filed new claims for unemployment, in July. That’s an increase from June and a big increase from a year ago, but it’s not going up as fast as it has in recent months. And, it’s more evidence the worst may be behind us…

Figures released from the Georgia Department of Labor, on Thursday, show a 74 percent increase in new jobless claims, from a year ago, but only an 18 percent increase from June.

It’s the smallest increase in a year, but officials say it’s taking longer for those people to find new jobs, so they’re collecting unemployment benefits longer.
