Body Found In Swainsboro Motel

Swainsboro, GA—Authorities in Swainsboro are piecing together clues into an unidentified woman’s death.

The woman’s body was found in a room at the Sunset Inn, on Highway 1 south.

Gail Williamson, with ‘The Forest-Blade’ newspaper, was on the scene, Tuesday, when police opened the door.

The Swainsboro Police Chief told her that the woman was found lying face down on the floor. The TV was on, but the phone was off the hook.

The woman had short, sandy blond hair and appeared to be between 35- and 40-years-old. Her body has been sent to the crime lab for autopsy.

At this time, the cause of death is unknown.

The room was rented to a man, but his whereabouts are unknown.
