Augusta Red Cross Accepting Donations For Local Storm Relief
In an e-mail to WJBF News Channel 6, The Augusta Chapter of the American Red Cross is accepting donations to assist victims of Friday night’s storms. The American Red Cross of Augusta has assisted many families in the areas that were affected by this weekend’s tornadoes.
Augusta, GA—In an e-mail to WJBF News Channel 6, The Augusta Chapter of the American Red Cross is accepting donations to assist victims of Friday night’s storms.
The American Red Cross of Augusta has assisted many families in the areas that were affected by this weekend’s tornadoes.
If you would like to make a contribution to help the Augusta Red Cross provide the needed assistance for local disasters like these tornadoes, we accept cash, checks or credit card donations at our downtown office or you can mail a contribution to the American Red Cross of Augusta, 1322 Ellis Street, Augusta, Georgia, 30901.
At this time, American Red Cross of Augusta had assisted a total of 14 families, 54 people living in a three county area, for a total expenditure of $3,315.00. The assistance was for temporary shelter, food and clothing.
The American Red Cross is not a government agency and receives no federal or state funding. All funds are provided by the generosity of the community.
