Augusta Flu Samples Sent To CDC For Testing

Wednesday, WJBF News Channel 6 spoke with Doctor James Wilde, a pediatrician at the Medical College of Georgia Children’s Medical Center, to get more information on swine flu, and how it can effect you. Dr. Wilde told us there are 3 confirmed cases of flu in the Augusta area, however…there’s no reason to be alarmed! Those have not been confirmed as swine flu.

Augusta, GA—Wednesday, WJBF News Channel 6 spoke with Doctor James Wilde, a pediatrician at the Medical College of Georgia Children’s Medical Center, to get more information on swine flu, and how it can effect you.

Dr. Wilde told us there are 3 confirmed cases of flu in the Augusta area, however…there’s no reason to be alarmed! Those have not been confirmed as swine flu.

Samples have been sent off to the CDC, in Atlanta, for testing.

We’ll continue to follow up on this and will let you know the results of those tests as soon as we hear something.
