Kenny Adams, Augusta, GA—“Because I’m a nerd.“
Becky McCulley was the first person in line. “I think support for the Augusta businesses is utmost,“ she said.
The store gave away free T-shirts to the first 1,000 visitors. Becky says she could not wait for this day.
McCulley: “I’ve been here throughout the past week and was in contact with the mall people and found out what time and what date the store was opening up, and I wanted to be here to show my support.“
For Apple lovers, this is the place to be, with tons of apps, gear and software. The store manager says this store is not all just about technology but giving back to the community, through education.
Macey Moore, Apple store manager: “Field trips, camp, youth workshops. We have our genuis bar, which is one on one tech support.“
According to the Apple website, Atlanta and Augusta are the only two cities in Georgia that have an Apple store.
