Aiken, SC—A new rehab center opened its doors in Aiken, on Monday.
The “Aiken Physical Medicine and Rehab Center” had a ribbon-cutting ceremony at their new location off of Silver Bluff Road.
This center is part of the Walton Rehabilitation Health System.
The staff here will do everything from treat and diagnose problems to provide physical therapy.
Dr. John Nicholson, Medical Director: “Physical rehab is the specialty that I have, and it’s relatively new to this area. It’s different than orthopedic surgery that offers surgical management and referrals to physical therapy, but that’s my focus…is patients who’ve been through rehab for injuries.“
The center is now taking referrals and appointments.
