Three people died late friday in a helicopter crash near Georgetown County in South Carolina. Investigators say weather was a factor.

All three people on board, including the pilot, a paramedic, and a flight nurse were killed on the flight headed to Conway. Omniflight Helicopters, Inc. said in a statement the crash happened after take-off from Charleston shortly after 11 last night. A search began after the aircraft failed to report in to Omniflight’s Communications Center.

The National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA were at the crash site throughout the day.
