Newspaper Box Thefts Investigated In Aiken County

Aiken, SC—According to Capt. Troy Elwell, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is investigating several thefts of newspaper boxes.

On May 5th, at 12:25 a.m., one of the thefts was captured by a surveillance camera. The video shows what appears to be two white males, in a four door white Buick century stealing a paper box located at a store on Highway 19 and Vaucluse Road. The video also shows one of the suspects using a side grinder to cut the lock off the box.
