The Thanksgiving spirit was on display today at the Garden City Rescue Mission. The Augusta Bar Association presented the mission with a check for $9,000 on Wednesday.

Augusta, GA—The Thanksgiving spirit was on display today at the Garden City Rescue Mission. The Augusta Bar Association presented the mission with a check for $9,000 on Wednesday.
The lawyers raised the money as part of a program they call “Raising The Bar”. They played a softball game against local doctors and held a golf tournament last month to raise that cash.
This is the third year for “Raising The Bar”.
The lawers say the Garden City Rescue Mission is a excellent charity and each year they will give to the smaller local charities.
