UNDATED—It’s a website that tells you what’s in the products you buy…and whether they’re safe for your family.
Dara O’Rourke launched an internet company that helps break down different products.
GoodGuide.com doesn’t just list what’s in a product…it also describes the manufacturing process and rates the treatment of workers.
O’Rourke’s staff scours websites, consults with industry reps, and checks the labs for materials consumers should know about.
Dara O’Rourke, GoodGuide.com: “What we’re trying to do is basically pull together the most comprehensive, incredible science in the world, and filter it through your preferences so you tell me what you care about, and we can help you find products that match your values.“
O’Rourke admits his workers spend a lot of time on European Union websites, which have stricter laws on product ingredient labels.
