FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Some people will have their Internet use grounded by American Airlines.
The airline says it will begin filtering an in-flight Internet service because some people have been using it to access online pornography. American says it was getting complaints from attendants and passengers.
The airline says it hasn’t gotten actual reports of passengers viewing what it calls “inappropriate content” on the in-flight Internet service. But it
says filtering the Internet service was “an appropriate measure to take.“ American launched Internet service in August on some of its Boeing 767 jets that fly between New York and San Francisco, Los Angeles and Miami as part of a six-month trial.
