WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is keeping up the drumroll for health insurance change, saying new government figures paint a grim picture of 6 million Americans losing their coverage.

At a White House event Thursday with members of the American Nurses Association, Obama said it’s more critical than ever to reshape health care. He said too many people are being cut off from coverage, and “it is heartbreaking and it is wrong.“

Obama said “we have talked this issue to death. ... and the time for talk is winding down.“ He cited statistics he said show that the number of uninsured has risen by nearly substantially since the economy plunged into recession late last year.
