TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - The Coast Guard is searching the Gulf of Mexico for a second day, looking for a Louisiana teen who fell overboard.

Officials say Bruce O’Krepki went over the rails of the Carnival Fantasy on Sunday night about 150 miles southwest of Tampa, Fla. The ship had left New Orleans en route to Key West.

The 18-year-old, celebrating his high school graduation, was on a cruise with about 30 classmates and members of their families. His uncle says the boy’s parents were with him.

The uncle says O’Krepki was planning to attend Louisiana State University on an academic scholarship.

The Coast Guard is searching by boat and from the air.
