Michael Vick Talks To 60 Minutes
Michael Vick says he cried in prison because of the guilt he felt about being involved in dogfighting. In an interview with “60 Minutes” that aired Sunday night, Vick said the day he walked into prison he realized “the magnitude of the decisions that I made. “And, you know, it’s no way of, you know, explaining, you know, the hurt and the guilt that I felt. And that was the reason I cried
so many nights. And that put it all into perspective,“ he said.

(New York, NY) Michael Vick says he cried in prison because of the guilt he felt about being involved in dogfighting.
A three-time Pro Bowl pick during six seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, Vick served 18 months in federal prison for running a dogfighting ring and was reinstated last month by the NFL after being out of action since 2006. He signed with the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday.

I watched the 60 Minutes interview this evening. As much as i believe in giving people a second chance, there are still questions thaat need to be answered, such as; IF Michael Vick were to enter a Humane Society shelter to adopt an animal, would he be allowed to do so based on his past actions towards animals? WHY did it take so long for him to realize what he ws involved was both wrong and illegal? Based on his checkered past regarding the treatment of dogs, how can the Humane Society support him as a ‘spokesperson’ for the mostreatment of animals? These may seem like questions with no merit BUT my upbringing as a child was in an environment where #### fighting was common. As I grew to be a teenager and then an adult, I realized this was not a sport but simple cruelty to animals. I commend him on speaking up BUT I believe he should go a step further and redeem himself in ways that do not promote his own career. I do hope I receive a response and quality answers to these questions as I was a fan of his and hope he can redeem himself thru the neyes of his fans, his family and his God.
Thank You,
