Augusta, GA—- Governor Mark Sanford was a special guest on the Austin Rhodes show Thursday afternoon. There he discussed his new government reform proposal.  He also talked about a ruling that came down thursday from the State Supreme Court. The court says the results of a state ethics investigation into Governor Sanford -can- be made public.

Governor Mark Sanford: “All that they are asking for is preliminarily reports. Preliminarily reports are nothing more than the headlines that we’ve seen the last couple of months. It does not provide anything new.”

A few months ago Governor Sanford admitted to a with a woman from Argentina. Since then top officials in the Palmetto State have demanded to look through all his traveling expenses to determine if he used taxpayer’s money for personal use.  Sanford wanted the investigation to be kept a secret. But the court ruled that when Sanford waived confidentiality, that meant everything in the report should be made public. But Sanford says not just yet.

Governor Mark Sanford: “ And what we think ought to be provided is the full report because then they would see the context in which we use the state plane of by which we use a business class ticket and when you look at that larger context what you see is a compellingly good record in watching out for the taxpayers.”

The state’s speaker of the house—Representative Bobby Harrell—says lawmakers will wait to see what’s in the report before deciding whether to impeach Sanford.

Governor Mark Sanford: “Absolutely not. All we want is for them to finish their work and then let’s release that full report.”

Radio show host Austin Rhodes says although some what to see Sanford out that might not happen.
Austin Rhodes., Radio Show Host: “He’s going to remain in his seat unless somehow they force him out. He is not going to go I don’t believe leave for a number of reasons mainly because he has a very specific agenda he feels like there’s work to be done and also if he leaves now he does leave a failure.”
