Aiken County, SC—According to our news partner, AikenStandard.com, a longtime Aiken County school administrator is being mourned.

Warren Whitson, 65, passed away at his home on Monday morning.

Whitson served as principal at Jackson High School, then at Silver Bluff High School. He also served several years as Principal at Midland Valley High School, then returned to Silver Bluff High School 2 years before his retirement. Whitson also served as director at Freedman Vocational School, district testing coordinator for the Aiken County School District, and secondary education director.
