Heavy rains have produced some flooding in places around the C.S.R.A. There are reports of flooded basements in some downtown Augusta buildings. And some neighborhoods in Columbia and Aiken counties are also reporting flooding in streets and yards.  Some places saw over three inches of rain in less than 24 hours.  Columbia County Emergency Management Director Pam Tucker says the Rand Creek wastewater site got three inches.  The Little River wastewater site got 2.5 inches and the Crawford Creek wastewater site collected 2.1 inches.  The Columbia County government center got over 2.6 inches in just 24 hours.
The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for poor drainage areas in Aiken, Columbia and Richmond Counties.  It includes Augusta, North Augusta, Evans and Fort Gordon.
