Two People Arrested In January Murder Case In Barnwell

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has made two arrests in the murder of Christopher Dorch.

Blackville, SC - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has made two arrests in the murder of Christopher Dorch.

Tyrell Damon Odoms, 20, and Laparis S. Flowers, 18, both from Allendale are charged with murder. SLED says the crime allegedly happened after midnight in the parking lot of the Corner Stop convenience store located at 20416 Solomon Blatt Avenue.

Investigators believe Odoms and Flowers approached Dorch as he walked through the store’s parking lot and fired several gunshots at him. Dorch later died from his injuries. Witnesses and video surveillance created valuable evidence in the case.

According to SLED murder is a felony offense punishable by death, life in prison or a mandatory minimum of thirty years in prison.
