Three GA Men Arrested For Burglary In Aiken County
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with the Aiken Department of Public Safety, and SLED, arrested three Augusta, GA. men early Monday morning for Burglary 1st Degree and being in Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime, in connection with an Aiken County home invasion.

Aiken, S.C., September 14, 2009 - The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with The Aiken Department of Public Safety, and S.L.E.D. arrested three Augusta, GA. men early Monday morning for Burglary 1st Degree and being in Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime, in connection with an Aiken County home invasion.
Jerrick Miguel Thomas, 18, of the 3800 block of New Carline Road, in Hephzibah, GA is charged with Burglary 1st Degree, and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime.
Detron Deltray Spruill, 18, of the 2400 block of Boykin Road, in Augusta, GA is charged with Burglary 1st Degree, and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime.
Tyquan Marquis Cohen, 18, of the 4000 block of Rams Woods Drive, in Hephzibah, GA is charged with Burglary 1st Degree, and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime.
At 12:07 a.m. The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the victim, stating there were three subjects breaking into his residence through the back door of his apartment. Aiken County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Aiken Department of Public Safety arrived and witnessed three subjects exit the victim’s apartment, with one of the subjects firing a single shot from a hand gun at a Deputy who was located at the rear of the apartment building. The subjects ran towards an adjacent field where two of the three subjects were challenged by ACSO Deputies, one subject was detained/arrested,
identified as the Spruill subject, and found to be in possession of a handgun, with the other subjects running into a field adjacent to the apartment building. The Aiken County Bloodhound Tracking Team, SLED helicopter, and Aiken County Sheriff’s Office Investigators were called to the scene. With in three hours the other two subjects were located and arrested by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with Aiken Department of Public Safety and S.L.E.D.
All three subjects are being held at the Aiken County Detention Center.
