Son Excluded As Suspect In Aiken Teacher’s Murder

According to Lt. David Turno, Aiken Department of Public Safety investigators continue to work the murder of Ann Fox Smith, following leads and seeking clues as to the identity of her killer. Most recently, investigators have been working with the attorney of Larson Smith, and are now able to exclude him from any involvement in the death of his mother, at this time.

Aiken, SC—According to Lt. David Turno, Aiken Department of Public Safety investigators continue to work the murder of Ann Fox Smith, following leads and seeking clues as to the identity of her killer.

Most recently, investigators have been working with the attorney of Larson Smith, and are now able to exclude him from any involvement in the death of his mother, at this time.

With his attorney, Larson Smith has met with investigators on a number of occasions and answered all questions asked, and participated fully with investigators. His cooperation has helped investigators narrow their focus in the investigation, by excluding him from involvement, at this time.

Investigators appreciate Larson Smith’s cooperation to travel back and forth to Aiken as he has moved out of state. 

Investigators are using all means available to solve this case to include many investigative techniques used in previous murder cases.
