Shooting Incident Under Investigation; Neighbors Protest

A shooting Sunday afternoon near 15th Street in Augusta led to a large gathering of upset neighbors. There is little information about the shooting other than that one person was shot at the intersection of 15th and Carver. A briefing on the shooting is scheduled by Sheriff Ronnie Strength, Monday, at 11:00 a.m. In the meantime, there were large crowds that had gathered. One WJBF photojournalist reported hearing gunfire in the area. Officers left to let the scene diffuse, but they mobilized in the event of any more incidents in the area.

This is a federal housing project. Many of them have grand parents who were on welfarel. A high number of them are bad to the bone. The evidence in this article supports the theory that many project people are not bad because of their environment. They are simply bad. Read http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200807/memphis-crime
