Richmond County Bank Robbery Suspect Sought
According to Sgt. Calvin Chew, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a bank robbery suspect. Sgt. Chew says on Monday October 19th, at approximately 3:34 p.m., a suspect robbed the Wachovia Bank located at 2835 Washington Road, in Augusta.
Augusta, GA—According to Sgt. Calvin Chew, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a bank robbery suspect.
Sgt. Chew says on Monday October 19th, at approximately 3:34 p.m., a suspect robbed the Wachovia Bank located at 2835 Washington Road, in Augusta.
The suspect walked into the bank and approached an employee, where he lifted up his shirt and showed that he had an unknown type black handgun in his waist. The suspect made the employee take him up to the front teller station, where he got an undisclosed amount of money from a teller. The suspect then calmly walked out of the bank.
The suspect was last seen headed east on Washington Road, driving an early 90’s model Infinity with damage to the front hood and an unknown SC tag.
The suspect is described as a White male, late 40’s or early 50’s, 5’6”-5’9” tall, weighing approximately 200lbs, and clean shaven. The suspect was last seen wearing a light blue striped, short sleeved polo style shirt, dark blue baseball cap with white writing, and blue jeans.
