Racist Graffiti Found In Aiken County Subdivision

An Aiken County developer discovered what he calls “racist graffiti” on a stop sign in this subdivision, Wednesday morning. The letters KKK were spray painted on the sign in the Herndon Pointe Subdivision, off of Silver Bluff Road, in Aiken.

Aiken, SC—An Aiken County developer discovered what he calls “racist graffiti” on a stop sign in this subdivision, Wednesday morning.

The letters KKK were spray painted on the sign in the Herndon Pointe Subdivision, off of Silver Bluff Road, in Aiken.

The deveoper believes they were painted sometime during the night.

Patrick Polk, developer: “We have African-Americans, Latino-Americans, Asian-Americans, all cultures of people in our military, fighting for our freedom, and then we have to put up with something like that. On my property…and comes and defaces it, with something that obviously stands for nothing but hatred…“

Officers with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office say the investigation is open. So far, they have no suspects.
