Police: Woman Helped Husband Rape Daughter

A Riverdale woman accused of helping her husband sexually assault their daughter is behind bars. The 33-year-old woman’s name was withheld to protect the girl’s identity.

JONESBORO, Ga. (AP) - A Riverdale woman accused of helping her husband sexually assault their daughter is behind bars.

The 33-year-old woman’s name was withheld to protect the girl’s identity.

Clayton County police Lt. Rebecca Brown, a spokeswoman, said the woman was charged with rape, incest, child molestation, sodomy, enticing a minor for indecent purposes and giving alcohol to a minor.

Brown said the woman’s husband has so far eluded capture.

Investigators said the girl was repeatedly raped by her father between March and August of 2007.

The woman was being held without bond in the Clayton County Jail.
