October 20th Execution Set For Convicted Augusta Murderer
The Georgia Department of Corrections has set Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. for the execution of a convicted Richmond County murderer. A warrant signed Thursday by a judge permits the state to execute 43-year-old Mark McClain at any time between noon Oct. 20 and noon Oct. 27 at the state prison in Jackson.

ATLANTA (AP) - The Georgia Department of Corrections has set Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. for the execution of a convicted Richmond County murderer.
A warrant signed Thursday by a judge permits the state to execute 43-year-old Mark McClain at any time between noon Oct. 20 and noon Oct. 27 at the state prison in Jackson.
McClain was sentenced to death for a 1995 murder during an armed robbery of Domino’s Pizza in Augusta. McClain took $130 from the register and shot and killed the manager, 28-year-old Kevin Brown.
A delivery man was able to get a license plate number when the shooter left.
