North Augusta Man Arrested For Sex Crimes

Aiken, SC., October 31—According to Lt. Michael Frank, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) has arrested a North Augusta man concerning a series of sexual assaults involving two young girls.
John D. Jury, 48, of the 1700 block of Georgia Avenue, in North Augusta, is charged with Lewd Act Upon a Minor (nine counts).
The subject surrendered Thursday to investigators at ACSO.
Between 1996 and 1999, Jury allegedly fondled the two victims, who ranged in age from 6- to 13-years-old, at a home in Graniteville.
The subject is being held at the Aiken County Detention Center.
