North Augusta Department Of Public Safety Officer Arrested For Neglect

According to Lt. Michael Frank, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, with the cooperation of the North Augusta Department of Public Safety (NADPS), arrested an NADPS officer Tuesday afternoon concerning neglect involving an 11-year-old girl.

Aiken, SC., November 25—According to Lt. Michael Frank, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, with the cooperation of the North Augusta Department of Public Safety (NADPS), arrested an NADPS officer Tuesday afternoon concerning neglect involving an 11-year-old girl.

Travis W. Redd Sr., 38, of the 200 block of Ashley Circle, in North Augusta, South Carolina, is charged with Unlawful Neglect by a Legal Custodian.

An investigation found that Redd, on November 20th, pinched the child with both hands on the chest. The incident took place in an automobile.

Redd has been employed with NADPS for 10 years. He currently holds the rank of Sergeant. Redd is suspended without pay pending the outcome of an investigation.

He currently is being held at the Aiken County Detention Center.
