North Augusta, SC—The North Augusta Department of Public Safety (NADPS) is looking for two robbery suspects.

According to NADPS, at approximately 10:50 a.m., Tuesday morning, they received an emergency 911 call from the Payday Your Way, located at 507 Georgia Avenue, reporting they had just been robbed at gunpoint by two unidentified black males.

According to the victim, a Payday employee, the two suspects entered the store and appeared to be potential customers, at first; asking questions about loan procedures. One suspect then pulled a pistol and demanded the victim to lie on the floor. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money from the store and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. Responding officers and detectives secured the scene and began their investigation.

Witnesses spoken to around the store recall seeing a lone black male walk across the Pink Dipper parking lot, and get into a silver-colored SUV. At the time of this report, it was not confirmed whether this unidentified black male was one of the two suspects. The only description law enforcement has, at this point, is a black male in his 20’s wearing a blue shirt and jeans.

Investigating officers found a discarded uniform shirt from Wal-Mart in the road, near where witnesses put the potential unidentified suspect, but it has not been connected to the incident, at this point in the investigation.
