Multiple Agencies Involved In Huge Marijuana Bust
According to Captain Steve Morris, a month-long multi-agency investigation, involving the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and DEA, has lead to the arrest of Isaac Lewis, of the 1300 block of Hampton Avenue, in Aiken, and Rufus Hamilton, of the 700 block of Oriole Street, in Aiken, as well as the seizure of 400 pounds of marijuana, three vehicles and two utility trailers.
Augusta, GA—According to Captain Steve Morris, a month-long multi-agency investigation, involving the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and DEA, has lead to the arrest of Isaac Lewis, of the 1300 block of Hampton Avenue, in Aiken, and Rufus Hamilton, of the 700 block of Oriole Street, in Aiken, as well as the seizure of 400 pounds of marijuana, three vehicles and two utility trailers.
Both suspects have been charged with Trafficking Marijuana and they are being held without bond at the Columbia County Detention Center.
Investigators executed two search warrants: The first warrant was executed on a storage unit located at 472 C-5 Flowing Wells Road (Flowing Wells Industrial Park), in Martinez, and the second warrant was executed at 1375 Hampton Avenue, in Aiken, SC.
The street value of the marijuana is $250,000.
