A retiree says he was kidnapped and robbed from a grocery store in Columbia County Monday. According the incident report, James Clevenger says a man held him up at knife point in the parking lot of the Evans Kroger, then forced him into his own truck.
Evans, GA—A retiree says he was kidnapped and robbed from a grocery store in Columbia County, Monday.
According the incident report, James Clevenger says a man held him up at knife point in the parking lot of the Evans Kroger, then forced him into his own truck. After that, Clevenger says he was driven to an ATM where the suspect withdrew money from his account.
After getting the money, the suspect dropped Mr. Clevenger off at Clanton Road and left in another vehicle, with other credit cards.

just a correction, the man was forced into the passenger seat of his own vehicle, a van, while the suspect’s girlfriend followed behind in the couple’s ford, an f-150 black truck.
