Barbershop Robbery Suspects Sought In Augusta
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is looking for suspects in a robbery of a south Augusta barbershop. The robbery occurred Thursday morning at Le Nay Nay’s off of Highway 25.
Augusta, GA—Augusta, GA—Richmond County Investigators are on the hunt for two robbery suspects.
They say, around 11:00 a,m,, Thursday morning, someone walked into Le Nay Nay’s Barbershop, on peach orchard road, with a shotgun.
What happened next is unclear, but we’re told one shot was fired from that shotgun, although nobody was hurt.
A deputy who was in the area, saw one of the suspects leave the store, and get into a car.
Inv. Blaise Dresser, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office: “He gave chase to that vehicle. The vehicle travelled south on Peach Orchard Road, turned west on Harding Road, and then onto Lively Street, where they lost control and wrecked the vehicle. The two occupants of the vehicle, right now, both described as black males, then exited the vehicle and fled the vehicle on foot.“
Investigators searched the area by air, but were unable to locate the suspects. They say they have some leads and hope to have an arrest soon.
