Former Denmark-Olar High School Football Coach Arrested

According to a release from the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), Andrae Odell Rice, 32, the former head football coach at Denmark-Olar High School has been arrested on charges stemming from alleged Unlawful Conduct Towards a Child.

Bamberg County, SC—According to a release from the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), Andrae Odell Rice, 32, the former head football coach at Denmark-Olar High School has been arrested on charges stemming from alleged Unlawful Conduct Towards a Child.

The incident happened on or about November 25th, 2008. According to the ‘Times and Democrat‘ of Orangeburg, SC Rice stepped down in December of 2008, citing family issues.

According to police reports, Rice is accused of violating a female student during school hours. The student left the room where the incident happened, and Rice allegedly made calls to her cell phone to “engage her in communications unrelated to school activity.

Rice is charged with Unlawful Conduct Towards a Child.
