According to Josh Gelinas, the communications director for the South Carolina Department of Corrections the search is on for a minimum security inmate who walked away from Lower Savannah Pre-Release Center, in Aiken. Patrick Frazier, 22, was confirmed missing from the minimum security institution on Wire Road at 11:50 p.m. Thursday. UPDATE: Frazier has turned himself into the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.

COLUMBIA (Oct. 12, 2009) – Escaped inmate Patrick Frazier, who walked away from the minimum security Lower Savannah Pre-Release Center in Aiken last week, turned himself in today to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
The S.C. Corrections Department is transporting Frazier to maximum-security Broad River Correctional Institution in Columbia. Frazier faces a charge of felony escape, a crime that carries up to 15 years in prison.

Aiken, S.C. (Oct. 9, 2009) – According to Josh Gelinas, the communications director for the South Carolina Department of Corrections the search is on for a minimum security inmate who walked away from Lower Savannah Pre-Release Center, in Aiken.
Patrick Frazier, 22, was confirmed missing from the minimum security institution on Wire Road at 11:50 p.m. Thursday.
Frazier is described as a black male, 5’10” tall, weighing about 175 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. He has “Jayden” tattooed on his left arm.
Anyone with information about Frazier is asked to contact South Carolina Department of Corrections’ Fugitive Apprehension Unit at (877) 349-2130. After 5 p.m., (803) 896-2258, the S.C. Law Enforcement Division (SLED) at (803) 737-9000, or local law enforcement.
Frazier started serving a four year sentence for criminal conspiracy in March 2009. He was convicted in Aiken County.
