Edgefield County Hopes More Officers On Street Will Quell Burglaries

Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office investigators hope putting more officers on the streets will stop a rash of burglaries. Thieves have stolen more than $100,000 worth of stuff from homes in the Martintown Road area, in a little over a month.

Edgefield County, SC—Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office investigators hope putting more officers on the streets will stop a rash of burglaries.

Thieves have stolen more than $100,000 worth of stuff from homes in the Martintown Road area, in a little over a month.

Two more burglaries were reported Wednesday.

Investigators believe at least some of the thefts are related. They have placed extra officers in the area to keep an eye out for suspicious activity.

Investigators say they do have several leads.
