Edgefield County Authorities Seek Public’s Help In Locating Suspected Shooter
According to our news partner, ‘Edgefield Daily’, Edgefield and Johnston Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man they say is responsible for two recent shooting incidents, one that sent a 21-year-old Edgefield man to MCG with a gunshot wound to his back. Edward Fargo McKenzie, 24, of Johnston, is wanted for two counts of assault and battery with the intent to kill and numerous other charges. A reward for information leading to his arrest is being offered.

Edgefield, SC—According to our news partner, ‘Edgefield Daily’, Edgefield and Johnston Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man they say is responsible for two recent shooting incidents, one that sent a 21-year-old Edgefield man to MCG with a gunshot wound to his back.
Edward Fargo McKenzie, 24, of Johnston, is wanted for two counts of assault and battery with the intent to kill and numerous other charges. A reward for information leading to his arrest is being offered.
Edgefield Police Chief Ronnie Carter said Friday that his department has identified McKenzie as the shooter at the Edgewood Apartments on August 15, in an armed robbery that left the victim critically injured.
Lt. Michael Cockrell said their investigation has led to warrants being issued for McKenzie charging him with assault and battery with the intent to kill, armed robbery with a deadly weapon, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
